The Granddad Report

Our granddaughter was born on January 10, 2007 -- which makes her ... (lemme see -- 2009 minus 2007) TWO WHOLE YEARS old.

Today our daughter-in-law reported: "Yesterday she counted to ten! She's sooo proud of herself! She will also tell you that tomorrow is her 'birt-day,' and that she will be 'TUUUU!' and she wants 'pup-cakes'!"

Sheer genius, that girl.

Rookie.

It only gets better.

And I love it how Lauren says she almost understands all Abby's words now, too! Whew!

Tonight on facebook, Lauren says she is baking a cake, cleaning house, and chasing a toddler. I sure hope Andy is helping!

Why is Lauren baking a cake? Doesn't she know that "pup-cakes" are much better? (Don't worry about Andy helping -- he's a good daddy who adores Lauren and loves to play with Abby.)

Jerry---
Yes, but unlike everyone else's grandchildren, ours is brilliant.

I argue with one of my good friends over whose grandchild is the "most exceptional." GGs are most amazing, and Jerry is right. It just gets better. GBN2 just turned two on Dec. 30th.

I think "pupcakes" sound great.

Joyce and I had boys. Now we're just so amazed by this little girl who talks all the time -- and occasionally almost makes sense.

Now wait just one minute! I happen to think my 4 grandbabies are the most brilliant in the world.

Not that I'm prejudiced at all...

By the way, I sorta kinda gave you 2 awards. Stop by to collect them.

Now if you would excuse me, Pannycakes are waiting to be made for said brilliant babies!
