Finally (after months of waiting, while rumors flew and preparations proceeded fitfully), James's unit has received orders -- they will deploy to Afghanistan around the beginning of July. And so it is that James leaves his young bride and joins that long line of soldiers who've gone before.

He will be in our hearts and in our prayers. Tell him how proud Kahuna and I are of him.
Godspeed nephew. Praying for you in New Mexico. We know who your ultimate Commander-in-Chief is.
wish we could find out more about the song, and author. awesome.
I will be praying for both James and his bride.
My prayers are with them.
Thank you James! I'll keep you in my prayers while you protect us.
Does his wife know about spousebuzz.com? It's really tough to be a military spouse so there is an entire online community created just for them. I have met several of the bloggers who write there and they are wonderful women. (Andi, ArmyWifeToddler Mom, and Sarah) I'm sure the others are just as great.
It's almost harder to be the one left at home wondering... there are always questions, there is always the "is it just me?" feeling. So if she wants some great support I highly recommend.
Bless them both.
To Bob and Joyce,
We will pray for your James (I'm glad you provided the link to the runaway story) and his bride. Oh, and of course his mom and dad will be prayed for as well.
Our son is also over there but is in Iraq. Would you pray for he and his team? His name is Josh. I should've known which career he'd take when he was playing with his A-team van he got for Christmas!
