On this Resurrection Morning, it's time to consider what Paul told the Philippians -- "At the name of Jesus, every knee will bow (of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth), and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Though we be trumpet or drum
(Else His Breath voicing through us
Or bearing the blow that is due us)
We all give sound to His praise.
Every tongue shall confess
(Else singing praise of Who Bled
Or grinding teeth as the dead)
All cry: "Wondrous His ways!"
Though we be trumpet or drum
(Else His Breath voicing through us
Or bearing the blow that is due us)
We all give sound to His praise.
Every knee shall bow down
(Else at a rugged old Cross
Or when accounting our loss)
None of us meeting His gaze.
Though we be trumpet or drum
(Else His Breath voicing through us
Or bearing the blow that is due us)
We all give sound to His praise.
