Sorry dear, MEME isn't in the Official Scrabble dictionary (third edition). Maybe it'll make the fourth edition.
The word was coined by Richard Dawkins (yes, that Dawkins) in his 1976 book The Selfish Gene to mean a self-propagating cultural trait. It's gained popular usage among bloggers for the web-based equivalent of a chain letter.

I used to think it was pronounced Me Me, as in all about me.
