Joyce: There! I just added four letters to your word and covered the triple-word score. Thirty-three points!
Bob: Ummm, dear -- do you know what that word means?
Joyce: Don't worry, it's a word -- I looked it up in the Scrabble dictionary.
Bob: I wasn't questioning whether it's a word. I was just curious if you knew its meaning.
Joyce: It's one of those Italian ice creams, or something -- right?
Bob: No, that would be GELATO. FELLATIO is more like a Popsicle.

Bwahahahahaha!!!
That explains the other word the Scrabble dictionary listed, but was not long enough to stretch all the way to the triple: FELLATE. And since I did not have the letters to make: FELLATED, FELLATING, FELLATES, nor FELLATOR (one who)
"Not long enough to reach the triple???" Well now, this is a fine way to be told that!
(Who says a rousing game of Scrabble isn't stimulating?)
Uh...I may not be allowed to read your blog anymore... LOL!

Joyce and Bob: Let's not have any "cross words" between you!
Heh!
hysterical! and another gelato reference. the world is getting weird.
Tears. running. down. face. That was HILARIOUS. I SO want to play board games at your house. I think...
I wanted to stop by and tell you what a great blog you have and how funny you are. I gave you an Excellent Blogger Award on my blog today.
Have a great day!

Your parents are way too strict.

"Cross words!" Good one! I didn't even see that one coming.
GuyK--
I admire conciseness.
Supergurl--
Care to clue us in about those other gelato references?
Buffi--
Trust me, Scrabble at our house is nowhere near as glamorous as I make it sound.

"I'd like to thank all you little people who made this possible ..." (which is not meant to disparage people of diminished stature).
WOuldn't "fellatio" be more like the ACT of eating the popsicle? In that case, the popsicle itself would be... oh... never mind :)
Perhaps then it could become a game of charades! *snicker*
Chicka--
The funniest thing about all this is that Joyce would never have played that word if she'd had any clue what it meant. She'll let me get away with "those words" on the board, but even then, we have to clear the board immediately after the game -- before "little eyes" can see it. I does no good to point out that "little eyes" is now 6'-3" and about to finish college.
Art--
You are one twisted dude.
